This might be a really stupid question.. but why do they keep showing sli 980? Is it just because nvidia said it would be that much better? What about 980ti's in sli?

Seems like its because it fits the price point, 980ti SLI wouldve been like 1400-1500 which is beyond even the Titan X. SLI 980s can be achieved for under 1000, probably why it was included.

just my guess

Yeah, they bragged about how it was superior to 980 in sli at their conference. if that wasn't the first comparison you made, you are silly! :P

well my thoughts immediately went to pricing actually. if people are giving there 980ti's away like I have heard (not literally just really cheap) I might just go ahead and get 1 now and pick up a second later if it ends up being cheaper than a 1080. so much easier to justify to the wife spending $350 twice than $700 once... lol
found a review though showing a comparison with a 980ti sli.. weird that there is no 980 sli in there though

quick search on ebay shows 980ti's only getting around $400 currently. also craigslist where everyone over prices everything.. has several in my area around $450. might not be to long before they are in the $350 price range.

haven't watched this guys videos, but he has the info I wanted without all the fluff.. lol

2100+ MHz stable on a stock cooler. And the performance boost is quite amazing. Not sure if I should wait for the TI? Got the 700$ rdy!
