"you get what you pay for" hasn't been true for a very long time, especially when it comes to tech.

If it was then people wouldn't post here looking for the best PC builds under X budget, they'd walk into wal-mart and buy the most expensive (and by your logic, best) computer in their budget........

No, lol, you can't make a silk computer out of a Walmart ear....no matter how much you spend :D

Sorry to bump this after being told the best ones to buy already... But living in Australia means NO ONE will ship the asus one people linked, and infact half the top rated routers in that price range won't allow shipping here (because we have insanely strict legal warranty requirements)

So I'm thinking of getting http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=9436 as it appears to be the closest to the asus, which I really liked the reviews of.

Unfortunately I'm basically limited to what's available in the link below - so I'd appreciate if anyone who knows a bit about routers could LMK if any of the routers there might be better than the one I linked.

I would try ASUS directly, rather than thru an online e-tailer. Even your site linked, has the ASUS N55U...so they are just a little slow on getting the newer stuff, I guess.

But as I said above...right now...99% of the router reviews have the later model ASUS routers as the best to be had....at least for the foreseeable future.

There's http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main%5Fpage=product%5Finfo&cPath=200%5F1438&products%5Fid=21122

But that's not the same as the one linked earlier right? It's saying 1300 not 1750. But I guess that's probably my best bet either way?

Guess I'll get that since on Aus's Australian site they list that model as the fastest router available, which might just mean fastest available to Aus lol.
