well as i said when i turned it on in the morning it was a solid line, an hour or two later pixels on that line got back to normal, now they are only red again but a few a little higher up the screen have gotten back to normal. i still feel there is hope for this poor guy

Don't worry. My monitors flicker randomly and I can figure out why yet. Been that way for a week or two.
