well the $973 build..is almost as good...cept vid card and RAM...and actually has better case ^^

and more important...the $973 build is a current combo...from the case...

Something is wrong with the hard drive in that combo. Almost sure of it:

Notice one is a newer revision. Yet they're the same thing? I'm calling one has a manufacturing defect. It has only a 2 year warranty vs. the latter's 5 year.

and with ur 1500$ price range...just get a GTX580 and 8GB of Gskill xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxGBRL RAM

I know that...but even so...it's still a great combo...switch to a WD Black and use the Seagate for w/e

or just use the 1400$ build and swap to the case in the 973 build

I was actually able to do your entire build, part-for-part for the same price using various combos. Same power supply, different (but same timings & speed & size & quality) RAM, same quality case, same everything.
