Thanks. Desktop is back to normal. GPU & CPU thermal paste has been replaced. GPU went from 85 to 82 degrees, derp. Is it possible it is overclocking itself for no reason? I saw that it said "overclocked" on the case. Dunno if that means it comes overclocked stock or not.

bro just pick a good thermal paste of the A list...apply a thin even coat to CPU and to bottom of heatsink...most ppl use a smalll piece of plastic to spread evenly and thinly...the problem I think you are having is that a stock heatsink won't do much good....most everyone on these forums uses an after market heatsink...THAT is what give the lower temps...

Also don't mess with ur vid card...it's way more complicated than you think.

it's stock OC'd. But the 8xxx series can get up to 105c and still be cool.

bro as I said...don't take apart ur GPU...I see that's too late...what you SHOULD have done...is use MSI Afterburner to just increase the GPU's fan speed.

Well, he has an old card. AS5 will do fine, if he had a newer card it would have made it worse probably.

What you folks should have told him is not to take apart his vid card :/

Now the guy..if he's lucky...will only have a screwed up vid card...or...a dead one :/
