Blues and greens are their home user versions...the Blacks are the enterprise versions :)
also 3 year vs. 5 year warranty

Samsung Spinpoint F3 is faster, quieter, runs cooler, but has slightly worse access time than Caviar blacks. It's better for the price. Also, you picked the 6.0 Gb/s which is why its marked up to $90 lol.

ghot, this is build is no doubt good, but it could be done for much cheaper.

*sigh*... I never said the SATA3 tech makes it faster... I'm saying the newer revision that is SATA3 is faster... <_<

again, people assuming stuff

Oh ok i see what you were saying...mah bad. I thought you were implying that SATA3 makes it faster. The Samsung is still the best drive for the price, but yea the WD Caviar Black revision is slightly better performance wise.

ofc it can be done for cheaper...but cheaper causes problems down the road ....always :)

This is MY tank-build...its noob friendly, won't break looks badass, has all rock solid components....and keep in mind that a decent gaming laptop costs like $1800 ^^

This build is for ppl that want a comp...that will last for 5 years no problems...easy to OC especially with the mobo I chose....and I wanna have sex with that case...even tho it's only a mid tower :)

not when you're in this category of parts. Cheaper just mean you get normal parts. Almost $300 for a case and PSU is in the luxury region, as is an almost $500 graphics card. Same with the CPU/GPU. Over $400 for an motherboard and a 2500k? For $1500, you get fit in a 2600k no problem.

no need for a 2600K bro the 2500 K does just fine....it'll have awesome low temps from the get go....and when they finally get all the bugs worked out of the SSD's slap one in when the prices drop and it'll rock anything u throw at it...doesn't need SLI or crossfire...and all the BS that goes with that.....this isn't for YOU regulars..this if for a newbie that wants a tank comp...that will still run games in 4 years....and all the components will still be working as well.

Most ppl don't build comps every year or so bro...they want staying power...this build has that in spades :)

So you don't have OC'ing in mind, yet you go with a $200+ motherboard than can SLI
And you go with a 750W PSU that can SLI
And you go with a case that has more than enough airflow for SLI

And you want it to last for 4 years, so you get the weaker 2500k
And you go with a stock cooler for the GPU.

Sounds like you really thought this build out.

stock cooler on EVGA is fine bro...just crank up the fan speed pretty simple :)
DO have OCing in mind
and IF they want to SLI later...they just need card and PSU

best of all by the time this is out of date...both Bulldozer and IVY Bridge will be right smack in the middle of their lifecycles...best time to buy them ofc :)

check out this 2500K OC

almost the same system ....cept HIS will die first lol
