right, but there isn't much out there, or at least to my knowledge that handles motion better than Sony's SXRD panels.  it's got near flawless color too.  they handle motion pretty much the best for the money and being a TV set, so combine that with no noticeable input lag, and it makes for one hell of a gaming experience.  i have a few decent LCD's, and even a true 120Hz LCD, and due my set's size, they all just pale in comparison.

well in your post you make it sound like the size of your TV would somehow have an impact on your FPS...it doesnt

i see why that's what you thought, but you misunderstood me, so i was just explaining what i meant is all - even tho i didn't do a very good job. ironically, i can use motion enhancement to increase my FPS, and it does make things noticeably smoother, but the problem is that Sony actually dumbs down their 1080p by adding a tiny bit of blur to make movies look more film like... what you can do to turn this 'enhancement' off is to use photo mode instead of video mode(s), as that's the only mode in which you get a true/full 1920x1080. also, when you're in photo mode, you cannot use frame interpolation...

e: photo mode looks way better.

The SXRD is quite old though... 3 years old is quite old for TV considering all the new tech out (LED backlighting for LCDs, non burn-in for plasmas, and much more)

E/ googling it gave me links to places selling it for $119.99, what the hell?
