First intelligent response. Thank you.
I'm actually surprised too, people at other tech forums have told me HT hinders gaming performance and i didn't quite believe it at first, so i had to test for myself. Well it obviously did but it didn't matter as much as it did compared to other people's benchmarks. My clocks probably helped. But nonetheless, a $475 rig is still pretty damn powerful. I'm also surprised how a 2 year old Quad is still holding up to the current gen parts :).
IMO we will see a day where HT matters for gaming, but its just not yet, there are some developers still making things that only need a single core, they need to advance and work on dual/quad core utilizing games, to actually make it useful to have more than two cores.
I was definetly impressed with older gen Q6700s ability to perform, but again I am still shocked at how well a cheap HD4670/Kuma rig when OC'd a bit can handle games (albeit Steam)
What does WNR stand for?
Is that just short for Will Not Run?
Because that would make sense on the Kuma rig, the settings seem a bit overboard!
