Wonder if I should invest in an IPS monitor and get the HD800S and watch bluerays

Invest in a 1080p projector (entry-level ones are ~$600) and find some quality used speakers/amps from the 70s. Much better experience for less money spent.

How much total has it cost you; both in time and in monetary?

Grats / Arthur & Abduct were nice enough to yell at me until I had a general understanding how to set it up.

Didn't take that long, Most of it was self-installing, was annoying to get the networking part of it setup (Windows was being a BITCH)

Few hours to set up total?

$80~ For a 32gb card + full rpi3 setup
$8 each for controllers

Plus all it takes is a diff OS to make it into a reg PC.
