For that budget I would take a look on KEF LS50 with HSU VTF-15H MK2, leaves budget for some nice speaker stands as well.

Edit: Another great option to go with sub http://philharmonicaudio.com/New%20Philharmonitor.html incase you want to go little cheaper and leave budget for receiver.
