What's the difference? The foam?

Between the k02?

k7xx uses different drivers with a +3db low end
Has a smooth headband instead of bumps on it (which people i guess complain hurts? i never had an issue with the bumps)
Has the k712 earpads which are a soft memory foam, unlike the hard stiff foam of the k702


Granted they are similar, But its ignorant to call them 702's.

The bumps on the headband don't bother me at all. Must be a bald people problem.

Got my AK240 in and it is fantastic. Battery life isn't quite so impressive, but that's my only real complaint.

Let an audio engineer / musician try out my HE-500s. Said gave him the best non-live music he had experienced.

Still really impressed by these HE-500s, even after listening to some other high-end cans (LCD2/3, HD800, T1). Excluding maybe the LCD3, these are still my favorite. Want to listen to a well-amped HE-6, though.

Seriously, though. Shouldn't put headphones on animals -- their hair will stick through the dust-protector and hit the driver, causing a rattle on the bass (will have to clean the hair out). Happened with my cat.

My q701's had the foam ring chewed up, so they had a little more harsh treble/less bass because of it. So going from that -> k7xx the bass increase is more than I'd thought it'd be lol

The Memory foam pads on the k7xx are a lot softer/better feeling on your head. Although one thing i noticed is the q701 has angled pads, while they k7xx appear to be flat, Not sure how that will affect things like the soundstage / Positioning for games. Only listened to a few songs so far, I'll game on them a little later today. Listening to Dave Brubeck; Take five, Damn good song to try out headphones.


Yea, I've heard of people having issues with hair hitting drivers, But thankfully pit-bulls really don't shed. You could run a brush down him & maybe get one hair




Shadow, Because when he was small he'd follow me everywhere & I could never find him 'cuz he was always RIGHT behind me. Nearly stepped on him tons of times :/
And with his colors, Its nearly impossible to see him at night lol
