Why do you want such player in first place? And how much you have to pay for that?

I wanted one because besides having a good desktop setup, I wanted a very good portable setup also. I have a pair of ciems (Ultimate Ears Reference Monitors) that can fully take advantage of such a high end DAP.

The AK240 goes for $2500 brand new retail, but used ones typically sell for $1200-1300. It's best to buy these used because of the depreciation with AK players. I found a used one in great condition save for a slight scratch for a really good price.

Well.. Investing in better DAP is not worth it imo.. As modern phones can play audio just as well and you have them with you all the time. And over 90% of your audio experience comes from speakers/headphones and another big part comes from source material.. What comes from amp/dac/player is quite little when you get past certain point. But happy to see you are not paying anywhere close to retail price.
