For anybody that's looking for $62 2.0 stereo setup or $161 2.1 setup.
Logitech isn't any where near good, they
make a lot of crap, most of their products is like $10-200 so they
make cheap speakers but even then you can find other PROPER speaker manufacturers that
make cheaper speakers that sound better.
Are you okay going with a stereo 2.0 setup? Do you need a subwoofer for the extra bass?
Here is a GREAT setup that costs next to nothing. it uses
REAL SPEAKERS with
REAL speaker wire and even comes with a REAL amplifier.
The setup is:
Dayton DTA-1 Class T Amplifier + Dayton B652 Bookshelf speakers ($58)http://www.parts-express.com/images/item_standard/300-650_s.jpg
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-650+
Speaker wire; generic.http://www.parts-express.com/images/item_standard_xtra/109-166_si.jpg
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=109-166That setup will cost you as little as 62 dollars and will sound better than anything logitech, creative, altec, or any other generic cheap crap brand can produce.
if $100 is your absolutely maximum, you could buy the speaker/amp combo and save up another $60 and get a 10" Dayton subwoofer to go with it:
Dayton Sub-1000 10" bass driver 100W active powered sub wooferhttp://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-628http://www.parts-express.com/images/item_standard_xtra/300-628_si.jpg
Total cost of this system = $161. ($62 without the $99 sub woofer added)Honestly, there isn't anything remotely
close to this within its price range, so I would definitely recommend you save up the extra bucks to buy the entire system but if you really don't want to spend
more then you will certainly be happy with just the speakers and amplifier, provided you don't listen to bass heavy music /// action movies.
Your welcome and good luck with your choice of speaker product
