naw..it was the mobo...even more than the CPU...even on the ASUS forums...they reported problems...with the motherboard clock chip :/
my case, fans, PSU, vid card are fine...hard drives as well but the mobo is 3Gb/s and when I built it....6GB/s hadn't come out yet

Mine applies a .5 MHz to its base.

Here's my 550BE dual core that I unlocked to 4 Cores :P

I got the volts down to 1.375v stable @ 3.8, but ended up going with a 3.7 @ 1.3v - I managed to get 4+ stable too, but that needed 1.52v rofl...

Also, another Bulldozer review, this guy put his on ice and took it past 7 heh

no bro there a tiny little chip on every mobo that runs at about 1Ghz...it's like a metronome for the motherboard...keeps everything in sync

even tho CPU-Z reports my mobo as a AM3 ....ti's really and AM2+...so I have the same problem that the BD folks are having with the AM3+ motherboards...it's sorta like the motherboard can't handle the CPU....YET :)
