Only a. Hour or so remaining on the deal.

Amazon is selling Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones for $119 normal $239

Are they worth it?

I have klipsch s4 in ears but have been debating some over ears.

Yes/no/thoughts? Thanks!

Just saw one page back sa.e discussion :p

Glad this thread exists.

Someday I'll find some affordable over the ear headphones with integrated mic on cord perhaps (not mic coming from ear)

I currently use my klipsch with that $10 amazon add on cable with a connector

Just get good pair of headphones and separate mic. Sennheiser HD598 are around 100 for black friday I believe for example.

Comfort
Sound
Cost (doesn't start with a 2 or higher)

I'd prefer a cable with integrated mic but I have atwo separate mics that I can use if need be

Checking out the previously mentioned sens right now

I've never used over the ear before. I know with some of my friends I have felt the weight of them across the top of my head.
I have klipsch s4s. I've never heard "premium sound" before so I've been curious what all the fuss is about and if I think it's worth the money

If I won't be able to discern much difference from a recommendation vs my klipsch, I probably wouldn't be interested. I'm not sure how far along I'd need to go before I noticed a difference

Some review on amazon said the sennheiser hd 598s were $99 on a flash black Friday sale (last yr). If I can find that somehow id 100% do that just to finally satisfy my curiosity in this "audiophile grade" sound thing you all love so much

What kind of sound are you looking for? v-shaped? neutral? basshead? treble-prominent?

The HD 598 and M50 sound completely different, but still easy to listen to. I would only use the HD 598 (treble-prominent) when I played fps games. Sennheiser makes really comfortable headphones. I used the M50 (neutral with a bit more bass) mostly for movies and music. Not very comfortable until you get velour earpads.
