ofc they wont because some anti beats hipsters did reviews on them of how great they are and price went up

calls denon clones or even fischer clones far better

I would say they are more like 50€ headphones in european market as you can get Denon AH-D1100 for 60€ and Denons beat em up so bad sound wise. Build quality might be slightly better in M50, but I prefer superior sound.

I really enjoy my M50 with velour pads. They sound fine out of the box, but they really shine after they're eq'd. Great for people who travel and commute.

And that's the rub, they are fold-flat headphones that will fit in a travel case for those people on the go, Yeah there are better headphones, my AD700s cost me $90, my ESW9's cost me $130, the AD's beat the hell out of the ESWs, but they are open back and massive, where as the ESW9's fold flat and are closed back, its the tradeoff you get for portability I guess....

The ESW9s still sound pretty decent, been using them with a FiiO E06 I got not long ago

The M-series phones have a more pronounced bass tone and a folding design, they cater to those people who would otherwise just buy beats, think general public. They will sound good but others are better, as long as you don't mind sacrificing either portability, bass tone, or price

For instance, my AD700's have beautiful audio reproduction but do not have good low tones (the bass is there, but it is subtle), couple that with their massive size and long cord and they also aren't portable at all

The m50s aren't bad phones, but there are better audio quality phones for less. I paid more for the ESW9's specifically for the portability (plus they are beautiful)

In other news, Massdrop is offering the 02 amp with 2 configurations now, you can choose your gain settings as 1x/3.5x or the standard 2.5x/6.5x, so I ordered the 1x/2.5x desktop version

They are nice black hair band to keep firmer fit

Worth the 90 i paid except the white plastic cracked got another pair but sold them for a bill with a pc

Soundstage is similar on the 558 and shp9500
The superlux hd668b and681 are close for half the price

After debating for extended periods of time about running cables and needing to buy multiple parts for a complete set up I've come full circle.

Please don't roast me. I am simply asking the question:

Are there any sound bars that you might actually recommend? General entertainment use (TV music movies). The simplicity and price is attractive to me. I know they arent "true" sound
