I just got the E06 today, cheap as all hell at $27 and makes a big difference with my AD700s, although primarily it will end up going in the headphone case with my ATH-ESW9s for use on breaks at work

Still undecided on a desktop amp

Well you can't compare AD700 to those. For same price you can get better sound quality and much better comfort, so not so great price imo.

Amazon trying to get rid of the garbage.

I really enjoy my M50 with velour pads. They sound fine out of the box, but they really shine after they're eq'd. Great for people who travel and commute.
