We should have known better. The Xbox One is as famous for its U-turns as games:

It required a permanent Internet connection, then it didn’t
You could share games digitally with friends and family, now you have to give them the disc
You couldn’t play second hand games, now you can
It wouldn’t ship with a headset, now it does
Kinect was fundamental, now it isn’t

anybody who bought an xbox one deserves this.

any educated consumer will see that pc is better
