side note, my 4790k runs at 4.6ghz 1.2v stable
it was 4.5ghz 1.17v, wondering if i can drop the voltage at all and still be stable. wasn't stable 4.5ghz at 1.16v tho

2nd try bumped it to 1.2 instead and it was stable

TBH I think the 1700x oc'd will be actually pretty nice in terms of gaming:performance but yeah, will take a bit of time to kink out bios and software shit

if the 7700k was a 6core 12thread that clocked to 5ghz as well there wouldn't be any competition ever at 300$.

also considering the 1700 clocks as high as the 1800x pretty much there's no reason to buy the 1700x/1800x, might as well just buy the 1700.

i personally believe they should have released the r5 chips along with the R7s.

because now, especially since the benchmarks are out. if intel slashes the i5's by any % they will sell like hotcakes. a lot of people are sick of "waiting for Ryzen" and just want a nice gaming rig
