Just seems like AMD is hyping it TOO much, sorta like they hyped the 290X. Grasping at straws IMO.

....and I like my Titan, can't see how I would need a 2nd one ;)

/e it runs cooler and sips less power than my GTX 680 FTW and my reference GTX 780 Ti ^^

i don't think you understand...

Did r9 series fail to deliver what was promised? I'd say no if you leave out what the pricing has become.

I think it failed to deliver...94C and sucks power...can't OC it or it'll melt. Sure non ref 290X's may be better, but there is only so much you can do with them. I think if you check AnAndtech you'll see that even the non ref cards are struggling.

ref cards have always sucked. if you bring up ref design one more time, i will cockslap your face.

i haven't seen any custom cooling solution to struggle, some work better, some worse. just like for nvidia.

Well you'll try to "cocklap my face" I may be old but I'm no means a walk in the park in a fight ;)

Oh I think a standardized API is def the way to go, and I've said that many times...I just don't think AMD has the monetary bootstraps to make it happen.

/e Anyways, this is NOT the topic to discuss it...this is a news topic.
