Just a simple custom cable from a friend on Head-Fi. 6 feet, 3.5 mm jack.

New cable showed up. So much better.. that stock cable is absolutely abhorrent.

How is it better?

Wanted to hear what he was dreaming up! I know its nothing else than placebo.

He very well could just be talking about the stock cable being made poorly, Or stiff, Etc.

I replaced my my q701 cables with a custom made cable, Because the stock one was an ULGLY green & Every speck of dirt stuck to it like white on rice. Not to mention it was like 10feet long

The stock cable is about twice the length that I like, easily tangled and microphonic as fuck.

I mean, the 99.9999999999999999% silver cable also cured my ear cancer and turned my HE500 headphones into Stax 009 headphones. . . but of course that's just what happens when you get an aftermarket cable.

I have heard so many things about cable changes that you never know what people will come up with..
