my phone only takes certain audio formats. currently using MP3 320 for downloads, picked that over the other formats cause of the bigger file size ( 85MB for the album i just downloaded for example ). the site i use though, has AAC-LC as an "audiophile" option compared to the standard option ( MP3 ). now, the AAC-LC is ridiculously small in size, is this format pretty lossy?
i dont care about space, i care about SQ. any thoughts? also, phone has to convert the AAC i think when transferring. not sure what it converts to though, mp3 or wma, or something.
both AAC-LC and MP3 320 show the same 320Kbps sample rate, but the lower file size from AAC worries me ( less then 10MB for an album? ) but i also have heard of MP3 not being a good codec.
Just grab an app that supports .Flac
or pick up a cheap sansa zip clip & rockbox it
