PudzianGoat tried to offer some help a couple posts earlier and was very in depth but I dont know when you need a receiver/amp or when you dont.

I just want an affordable set of speakers with good sound at a good price to watch sports/movies/music through my TV with.
I dont need an entire surround set up rigged up. I just want an improvement over my TV speakers that people wont lul at


If you want just simple good stereo sound out of your TV then setup like http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-Audio-B652-AIR-Bookshelf-Speaker/dp/B00NOA58RS with http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-LP-2020A-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0049P6OTI will do the trick as your tv has analog audio out. But if you want surround sound or room correction then you will need a receiver and use your tv's digital audio out.

Well, the schiit showed up today, hopefully headphones on Monday. I'm an idiot and didn't plug the magni into my 220 to 110 adapter. Heard a pop and the wall wart started smoking, it wasn't plugged into the magni thankfully, letting it cool off then going to see if it still works lmao

took 9 days for it to get here sooo, guess I won't be using my new headphones until the 17th because i'm going away for 2 weeks on the 5th :cry:

My fuckup is probably not covered by their return policy. It was only $17 for the plug anyways, i'd rather pay that than wait an extra week for return.
Headphones came today too, they look sexy as hellll

doesnt Schiit give you the option of buying a 110V wallwart?
