rebates are third party

e.g., my4rebates.com

you gotta follow instructions closely, or bitch @ tiger direct if it doesnt work apparently. Might roll the dice, haven't seen any good intel deals

yeah, again not sure about murica, but canada TD has horrible reputation.
They come up with any excuses they can, (lost) to deny your MIR, even if you followed the steps correctly.
They'd go as far as lying, cos i helped my friend do the MIR, and they told him that the barcode label was missing, when i clearly stapled that shit myself onto the required documents.
Few months ago, they had some sick SSD sale, but more than half the people never got their MIR's back and were also required to have mcafee? or some crap AV installed for 9months before receiving their $$ back. They pull these stupid shits cos it continues to work.
I never buy from em with MIR's unless, it's straight up cheap from a instant sale.

Yeah, I hate it, but if I was lied to by a support employee, I might actually have fun filing a complaint :)

Idk m8 i've done some 30 or so rebates with zero issues. Maybe its something that comes with experience but i find if you send them 100% of any part of a label + invoice + their paperwork and do all the directions it works.

Also I did that mcafee rebate you speak of. Yes you had to subscribe to their auto renewal program and sign up with a credit card. Thing is you can use a prepaid card [so long as it had money on it when you signed up] and you'll be OK. Currently my only card on file has 0 dollars, and i got their 60 dollar card.

I know tiger direct has a bad rep but so far, I've never had an issue with them ^_^

hmm I found out I get sales tax for webstore purchases... but maybe a mcafee rebate could offset that? I have a few prepaids laying around

U must be from the states then,
Cos I have no problem getting rebates from ncix, me, etc. Hell even hookbag.ca
There's clearly something going on when you google TD Canada, and most of the reviews are pure shit customer service and rebate problems. Not talking about a couple or so, but the majority lolol

Agreed, they usually grab your face with a fishing line and reel you in on their balls
