So someone pissed me off today about why my knees hurt. They hinted saying it is due from me being 210 ~ 5'11". I then decided to add up how much weight I would carry on your everyday 18 hour patrol from when I was deployed. These are the numbers. MOS 11B USA.
108 +- 10 lbs depending on if I carried a camel back or a liter bottle.
If I was carrying the breaching kit that added another 33 pounds. An additional 35 lbs to that if I was also carrying the door knocker. (Blackhawk Thunderbolt RAM)
That would bring the total up to 140-180 lbs of gear depending on my door knocker or not.
IBA, MICH, M249, M68, PEQ-2, Tac-light, 800 rounds 556 link, M9, 30 rounds 9mm, PVS-7/14, IFAK, Uniform - boots - water source. ~100-110 lbs.
Breaching kit - Mossberg 500 loaded, Blackhawk Issue: Thunderbolt RAM, Thundermall Axe, Hallagan Tool, Bolt Cutters. ~70 lbs.
Misc - Chemlights, extra batteries, fixed blade, multitool, flex cuffs, 100" 550 cord, Dip/Cigs, Eye Protection.
No grenades. Didn't need grenades, flashbangs, or breaching explosives. My hombres carried that shit.
Weighing in at an average of 280-290 lbs and 350-360 lbs (for hard knock raids, etc.)
