I was just kidding...the only reason I would ever buy an SSD, is if they stopped making HDD's. I truly have no need for an SSD ^^

/e Oh noes, I forgot, I'll lose any e-peen I have if my WEI score isn't high enough...damn -.-

Well if you are worried about people finding thing, ssd is much harder to recover. Not that it matters .

next door neighbor has a complete machine shop...I'm not worried about ppl getting data off an HDD I toss :)

1. Crush in his 10 ton press, weld on it for a while, drill it full of holes, crush in press again...then turn (on the lathe) ..... into a nice change holder for the mantle piece ;)
2. And if that's not enough we could then melt it down and forge the metals into dogtags, with Peace Symbols on them and give away free at the nearest International Airport :)

/e I think that would even slow the NSA down a bit :D

It's OK, you got the wrong Velociraptor...those, the 300 & 600 GB are 32MB cache.

/e The 250, 500 and 1TB Velociraptors are 64MB cache

Bro those are old benchmarks...the 500GB VR I have is HHTZ

/e WD5000HHTZ

/e Ofc, they don't have seek times like SSD's. Did you think I thought they did ?

/ee Even the VR I have..is the fastest there is..and it only hits like 222MB/s

Not for me they aren't. Like I said...dun need SSD :)

The only thing it will do for me is improve my WEI score...which is a leftover from Vista anyways ;)
