But I wont because I am far to lazy to write a html, javascript, css processor and if I were to use firefox's or chrome's libraries it wouldn't be much better than whats out there.

I believe that with a little research, you will find that this is the major cause of all browser issues at this time. ^^

Even though, this is most probably the cause...I've found that running CCleaner and rebooting will drop the RAM usage by about 60%...at least on my comp. :/
