I know lol...as you can I tried a little...I don't know what adhesive they used...but it must be some super secret govt. space age glue...even when I manage to get a small section off the file cabinet....then I can't get it off my finger or hand :/

Agreed 100%...I needed the storage...the only other option I has was get like a 6 foot long desk...unfortunately, the price diff from 5 ft to 6 ft was like a geometric progression :(

When I ordered the desk, remember, I was still planning to use the Hutch...which would have meant that the Comp itself wouldn't get the A/C blast it does now. Hindsight I should have gotten a 6 ft desk and no Hutch ^^

I guess I could get one of these...but that ugly file cabinet is a $1000+ fireproof cement lined file cabinet.

/e I also have...from the same company ugly beige 2 drawer fire proof file cabinet, but didn't think that would look any better :/

The SAGA of the RMA'd Velocirator continues....

Back in February, when the Sabetooth motherboard's North Bridge...forgot about half of my installed RAM, it's Southbridge ate my WD 250GB Velociraptor...so I called WD and told them and they were very helpful and set me (2nd Day Air) a brand new 500GB Velociraptor.  When I opened the box and saw that it was 500GB I called back and said:  "are you sure this is right, I only sent a 250GB...they said: " Yes we are out of stock on the 250GB and our policy is the same of better, when we RMA a product.

Only problem was that the 500GB they sent had NO ....IcePack..it's heatsink.  So, I called them about 4 days ago, and told them that it came w/o and IcePack....they apologized and said no problem, we will rush out another one with an IcePack.

Which they did, and this time they sent it Next Day Air.  It just arrived today, and guess what?  No IcePack ...again.  :)

So, I called them just now, told them what happened, they again apologized profusely and said...no problem, we'll send you a 3rd one, that will definitely have an IcePack.  I asked to talk to a supervisor...just to make sure the message really got from the RMA dept. to the warehouse.  Supervisor said, he'd personally make sure, and that I should have  another one with IcePack, by tomorrow.  I doubt it'll get here tomorrow, since next day air took 4 days to get here.

So the SAGA continues...

ALSO, just received the OTHER previously RMA'd ASUS Sabertooth motherboard today.  I wonder what strange and wonderful things I'll see when I open IT'S box  :D

UPDATE on the Western Digital SAGA

Yet again, instead of recieving a WD SATA II Velociraptor WITH and Icepack (heat sink)...I just recieved...not one, but TWO...MORE WD 500GB Velociraptos. This brings the total count now to FOUR 500GB SATA III Velociraptors LOL

At this very moment I am again on the phone with WD...I suggested they just send me an Icepack lol

Latest Info: After a half hour on the phone with WD ( I got a english speaking highly intelligent person this time)...the guy actually WENT to the warehouse, found a 500GB SATA II Velociraptor, WITH Icepack. He said I have it my hand, it will go from my hand to the box, then to UPS :)

So they sent me a UPS label and yet another RMA number...and I am to send the 4x 500GB Velociraptors back...and they will send me one with an Icepack...we'll see what actually happens though :)
