I went from single 680 to 1070.
I doubt the 1100 series will be as much of a leap as the 900/10 were.
The 600 was the last major leap till 900 series then 10 repeated it.

Personally I'm waiting for a cpu worth going to from this 3770k @5ghz.
Been waiting a long fucking time. last cpu upgrade for me was q6600 to this and that was a huge leap.

There's not gonna be such a cpu until Intel finally makes their big comeback and buries AMD like they did after getting pounded in the butt by K8.
Or you decide multi core performance is more important than anything else in which case Ryzen is already here.
I would guess AMD is going to stay on top until around 2021-2023 though, longer if they stay on the roadmap they had laid out for themselves before Ryzen was a thing.
