Oh lol, I didn't hear about that. I'm going to stick with my Z68 for a while since I bought it late last year.

How did you possibly miss Canadian_Man RMAing three mobo's to three diff companies before Intel recalled the original P67 chipset lol?

A long while ago I rarely popped in here. and my sleep schedule is effed (well just whenever I sleep haha) so I'm not surprised I did miss it.


I'm also wary of a lot of new things coming out these days. Just like that recall and most new things that do come out tend to be "not as intended". A lot of people were waiting for FX cpu's and look at it now. A big let down. I'm kind of wary of Ivy as it is, but I know they delayed it ~8 weeks. I'm not saying it's going to flop, but I don't hold my breath.

actually the FX's have been doing pretty good on overclock.net....they been hittin 5Ghz with the 8120's on Corsair water ^^

I'm guessing they had some cores disabled though. I've nothing against AMD though. I just hope Ivy has no hangups and the ~8 week delay helped it out just fine. I'm going to stop for now so I don't want to spam up the thread.

no...all cores running...ppl just assumed it'd OC like it was an Intel and gave up :/


with only two cores the 8150 hit 8.4Ghz on liquid helium lol
