ya
if its 68-70f
I idle at about 29-30c

Prime @ 4.8, is about 75c
So if its above 80f in my room, those temps would prolly be 10c+ higher

Intel or AMD CPU ??

If that's an AMD that's TOO hot !!

They run hot also, but Intel has a higher temp range than AMD...you're still pushing it. I realize that nothing you ordinarily do, stresses a CPU like Prime95 does....but still, I'd try to keep my Prime95 temp at like 70C max on Prime95...for AMD ofc, the magic temp is 62C

Max temp is like 105c
CPU doesnt throttle till mid 90's
I was told anything under 80-85 is reasonable

Bad guys don't scare me, snakes don't scare me, getting shot or run over by a bus, doesn't scare me.

High CPU temps....scare me.
I guess try and keep room at 65F.

/e The GTX 680 can go over 100C too, but if my GPU temps go over 65C, I start looking over my shoulder lol

/ee You got your GPU fan speed turned up ? GPU's are "case heaters" and can easily cause higher CPU temps.

GPU fan is usually on auto
Which sits at 30%

Know of a program that automatically takes over GPU fan control?
Cuz for some reason my 7970's auto fan never goes over 30%, even when its 70c

Quickie Guide to setting GPU fan speed with MSI Afterburner (free program)

In MSI afterburner...

1. Just to the right of the fan speed slider... un-click the Auto
2. Then, move the slider to 70-90% or until the noise gets on your nerves :)
3. Then click: Apply
4. Then a tad further left, click: Apply overclocking at system startup

/e I recommend a "fixed" fan speed increase, like 50% to w/e noise level %...but that little "Settings" button, you can set GPU fan speed on a fan curve...aka higher fan speed for higher load :)
