Vat, in bc driving is a must. unless you plan to commute 2-4hrs round trip everyday, which isn't for me.

This,
Insurance is like 300+ a month, parking is like 15+ a day.
Then there is gas/repairs/maintenance.
Faster to skate/bike/public transit then drive most days.
Just never felt the need, I mean if I was a bumpkin maybe.
People think I'm crazy but its not a hard life, sure a car would be
useful at times but I got friends and can always call a cab/uber.

Think most frustrating part of not having a license is its 1 less piece
of ID. Lots of places are starting to refuse the health cards.
That's some absurd rates, those rates are for ppl who can't drive and have ton of accidents at fault etc. Bc is monopolized by icbc and they're overpriced too like bullshit. Though I paid 980 bucks for mine this year, clean record, 11yr driving, max 43% discount.
Honestly tho, shdve got drivers license as soon as you could have, even if you didnt plan on driving because it'll only bring down your insurance rates down overtime. So when you finally decide to drive, you won't be hit as hard.
