If you aren't an expert at pistols, you shouldn't get a 1911.

lol, and why is that?

break down can be learned and mastered by doing it over and over, watching youtube videos. and it's a smooth shooting .45 ACP. if its your first gun period, then yeah i wouldn't go this route. but if you know how to shoot a gun, hold properly, and are generally good with safety and basic operation of a gun, then why the hell not?

well, 1911 holds good resale value ( from most manufactures that is ), is a smooth .45, and definitely looks awesome. also going to be pretty reliable from most manufactures.

I love the look of them haha

Mind throwing a few names out to take a look at?

I've shot a good amount of pistols never had a issue with recoil so pretty much any caliber is fine.

I'm by no means an expert but am a pretty good shot / know how to properly hold a gun/etc. Break down/cleaning would be easy to learn after a few times of trying imo.

I just like starting that argument. I want a sig sauer. My battalion was going to make a commemorative pistol but I think the deal fell through. Compact p220 or something with the upgraded night sights, three mags, .45 cal, and our unit stuff on it. Motto, crest, etc.
