from what?
I'm pretty sure it was due to economical/political BS.
They blamed it on tree limbs and downed lines...which sounded good, until you realize that we had no weather at all.
The elec company has been going around cutting trees on ppls property for months now. This power failure (or the lack of speed in fixing it) is probably just a bid for more money to pay the tree companies, they have been subbing out the job to.
Last I checked, tree limbs don't take power lines down, when there is no wind, no rain, no nothing. 65F and cloudy, just doesn't tear power lines down.

/e About 6-7 months ago, we had a 3.5 hour and a week later a 7.5 hour power failure too. The exact same 5 areas, all three times. The lower income areas ofc.
