did you even read what I wrote :wallbash: "everyone knows this" is a bullshit. Back your claim with facts not hearsay.

Show me laptop with 12 hours battery life, i5, NVME SSD and fullhd+ display for much less than mbp cost (1300). One guy found one, for $1200 that would cost closer to $1500 when imported to EU. And we still ignore the trackpad quality, build quality, unibody etc. Surely you can find one right away? If you can't do that, I won't bother arguing again.

I'd definitely rather have nvme than a better cpu

Me too. 5x faster than standard SSD (or 25x faster than HDD) vs 5% faster cpu, there is only one good choice.

Did you ever try to write code on a phone? Or tablet? Wtf are you even talking about. I often work at clients' companies. Hauling 15" 3kg machine and asking them for power cord because my battery died would be fucking retarded.

Short answer: databases. If it's cpu bound, then queries and code are bad. If it's IO bound, then it's disk that is bad.

And yes it's much better than marginally better cpu. But even if it had potato instead of cpu it'd still be better because it has all day charge. Do you seriously not get it?

eeh and I promised myself to not reply to your idiotic, ignorant posts but

Get it to your thick skull: laptops with solid battery, screen, ssd, cpu and all in one package cost a lot, 1200, 1500 or even more. No matter what brand. Just because you only need $300 acer to play minecraft doesn't mean everyone has that low kind of needs.

As promised, today I didn't connect it to any power source ^_^

Coding, light browsing. Just working as usual. Wifi on, screen at 50% brightness. On the right hand graph you can see when I kinda started procrastinating  since majority of power draw is from browser

hi

it is a work computer. Get over it. If I asked for a power outlet (what I meant originally) everywhere I go, I would be laughed at and it would be terribly inconvenient.
