i just want to know what you do with 2 tbs

Ghot does a bunch of backups, which don't actually make sense. Due to them being on the same hard drive, they're kind of only there for human error, or minor to moderate software errors (nothing that fucks the hard drive's partitions).

Honestly, I think if Ghot wants to have security with his drives, he needs to go with a RAID 5 or 6 solution, with as many parity drives as he wants/can afford. What he's doing now is mostly a placebo.

My 2TB holds all my movies, tv shows, games, music, and bigger programs. Smaller, more frequently used programs (and a handful of games) are on my SSD, as well as a slimmed down Windows 7 (thanks to grief's ssd guide thing).

Well that didn't take long...I just love Partition magic 8.0, unfortunately I don't think it will work on Windows 7 :(

/e Ofc, I'll be doing a clean install of Win 7 on the C drive.

my backups are NOT on the same HDD...they are on drive H:

backing up my OS on the same drive would be stooooopid ^^

/e Just because I named the drives BckUp1-4 doesn't mean I do OS backups on all of them :/

with a modern system there is no point for a page file. in fact it is conceived to hinder performance instead of adding to it.

then again the page file should be 1.5 times your ram. you clearly overshot that lol

Not quite correct...in the days of 512MB of RAM the x1.5 rule was true...now they recommend...page file same size as installed RAM....also...I have noticed that for regular computer ops...even with only 4GB of installed RAM...no difference in speed...however..when browsing and having multiple tabs open page file seriously helps.

Naw I won't be overclocking for a month or so....give the new parts time to get settled...and me time to get the POS that is Win 7...properly secured...and programs I use working properly etc...

/edit...and half the useless BS that comes with Win 7 removed completely etc

/ee Hell, it's gonna take me hours just to make Win 7 LOOK like XP lol
