Probably a good idea to get the Windows key before a reinstall, if the computer did not come stock with the current operating system, the Windows key on the sticker will not be correct.
I make my system reserved partitions bigger before installing Windows too, because some apps like its own backup app, will not work with the newest version of Windows 10 default size setting.

Its all in my cheat sheet and so easy now, legal weed makes this all bearable and that's all I have to say about that lol

you can input a windows 7, 8 or 8.1 key into 10's setup and it'll work. besides that point, people aren't moving from Vista to 7 these days, they've generally upgraded from 7 - > 8 - > 10 via a digital license (origin key + HWID stored by MS). machines get a digital entitlement that MS keeps track of. stop posting incorrect things. I promise it's not personal, you're just incorrect over and over. people often have generic keys that extraction does nothing for on a reinstall. will you fix this information or are you just gonna make another post in a few days about how useful this cheat sheet is weee (this is cheat sheet like a number line is multiplication table).



I really get the idea that you say things like this that don't have actual merit just because you feel less ignorant when saying them. look I get it, this stuff is cool.. but the issue is you're actually giving incorrect information. I think you just wanted to say system reserve partition, because this is not necessary and does not make any sense.


this is not a cheat sheet... both because the information is wrong, and also because if it was right you still actually are only offering one half of the equation.. what symptoms/issues does this information even address? i've brought up examples of where your information is objectively wrong and could literally lead people to data loss and you haven't fixed anything. you said you can recover data from a clean command, but not a clean all... this is bad practice to give a blanket statement on. you CAN recover data from a drive that has a pass of zeroes. you should not blindly tell people they can recover data from a cleaned drive as things could happen during their troubleshooting that you didn't think of when giving advice (TRIM, faulty sectors..? you need to recommend due diligence first before giving advice like this, just like with DISM and SFC.. but you don't do your own due diligence with your advice so how can that be expected)

Dear d2jsp.org I have reported this troll named purplex for spam probably a dozen times and have not responded to them on this post as your rules state, because when I did try to help them on my second one of these post, then showing this was only a troll not a person asking or giving valid advice my post was then closed by a staff member. Please get this troll purplex off this wonderful and usually civil website, I really enjoy my relax time using this website, after years of helping and protecting molested kids for the United States Government as well as many other ventures I have done in my life most not very safe. I have built and fixed tons of computers and use this information almost daily, the troll purplex is making up un-factual based scenarios to make my advice look wrong and saying its all useless when that's not even possible, these are all Windows apps, processes and servers, I'm sure they bought this jsp account and are now spamming my page with it, maybe they are a computer repair technician looking for job security, no matter what the case they are harassing me against jsp rules please keep in mind a d2jsp.org staff member moved the first one of these computer info help posts to this forum, I really am not looking to make international lawsuits my next area for study, so please get this troll with account name purplex off this great website, they have even started privet messaging me apologizing then getting rude at the end of the message again.

do you mean to say unrealistic, or unlikely scenarios? because even then I think a guide/advice should plan for the worst. but that aside, there's nothing un-factual about what I said. this just shows that you don't understand the things I said. none of it was outlandish.. anything I mentioned as a possible outcome genuinely was. I did not strawman anything, please quote something specific, anything at all that you feel I've done this on and I can explain myself thoroughly.
