not sure what to make of any of this the game looks so much more smoother with vsync enabled and a capped fps at 60 or 120 . the human eye can only see so much.

Highly suggest 1440p if you are buying a current gen gpu

1440 looks so much nicer than 1080 and in many survival/battle royal type games it will give you an advantage by seeing clearly at further distances


Also I upgraded my wife’s monitor to a Samsung g5 1440 144hz and her GTX 1060 actually held out quite well in every game she played, my opinion is that if you are running anything better than a 1060 you should be on 1440.

Of course if you’re a turbo nerd and you think you’re the next shroud or something and need insane fps then 1080 is good but still looks bad

Agree, once you go 1440p you can never go back, the difference is definitely visible.

you are correct tv company is lying filth and my tv isnt an actual 120 refresh @ 4k my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Check out our local electronics store first, see what are available for purchase. AFAIK both cards are hard to get.

3080 don’t exist
3070 if your lucky maybe you can get one after spending hours in a discord

And 3080 would still be an overkill for OP.
So yeah 3070 would be fine.
