Well, sooner or later this card will die. It's been running 24/7 for over 6 years.
Since I can only afford a 1/2 upgrade at a time, I have to plan ahead.
The other concerns I have are the monitor and the TV. TV is like 10-11 years old and the monitor is 7 years old. Lastly, the microwave is approx. 20 years old. I guess I could get a 2nd monitor first, then the vid card, then the CPU, mobo, RAM etc.
That might be a smarter option. If this monitor dies, I'll be stuck with a CRT monitor (21"). That might be a better idea... getting the monitor.
Considering you have like no money just wait till it dies and buy a used card (or new one) since others have pointed out you have no NEED for it.
This logic should apply to all the other things your mentioning as well, alas you've never been logical about it though. I will say I'm curious to where
this moneys coming from now though cause I'm familiar with your excuses from before. Though I guess if you indeed quit smoking there would be
a small amount to work with.

You're trying to shove a 14 gigabits per second card into an 8 gigabits per second slot.
I think thats what they meant by control issues.
Once it hits that 8gbps wall it might cause some problems doing any kind of graphic workload.
And then you have the issue of power draw on the slot itself.
Cause I remember when the RX-4XX cards were first released they were drawing Gen 2 levels of power from PCIe 3 slots and it was causing problems.
Those RTX 2000 cards are designed for Gen 3.
Maybe.
This is indeed what they are referring to.
