Here is NEW (I think)....but sold and shipped by Best Buy... with 14 day return policy.

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/microsoft-surface-book-2-15-2-in-1-laptop-silver-intel-core-i7-8650u-256gb-ssd-16gb-ram-english/12309815?icmp=Recos_4across_cstmrs_ls_vwd&referrer=PDP_Reco

/e The one you linked (openbox) has a 30 day return policy, but a 10% restocking fee. The one I linked has a 14 day return policy, and no restocking fee.

what is restocking fee? sorry I got no idea

btw thanks for all the reply.. realy apreciate

edit : the link you posted is exactly the one we want to buy but its the normal price without any save. that why i am wondering if the 2 link I posted might be a better option than buying full price.

If I was gonna buy this one nornal price. I would go in store and order it from there even if its gonna takr 3 day before they receive it.

IF you have to return it...uyou have to pay 10% of the price of the laptop to return it. They call it a restocking fee...like... it costs us this much to put it back on our shelves. For what these things cost... 10% is like $300 CAD.

I think this one is NEW, but I'm not sure...call and ask... it's the same model number as the one you want. For the price difference and the possible restrocking fee of the open box one...it's worth it to get a new one.

Just save yourself a lot of possible heartache and get this NEW one. It has the amount of "storage" you want... 256GB, and it's brand new. 14 day Best Buy return policy and the manufacturer's warranty.

/e But make sure you CALL Best Buy online place and make sure it's really NEW. Their number is: 1-866-237-8289

OR you can do like Yup said, and make sure that the open box one...still has the manufacturer warranty (that would be Microsoft). You don't want to have to return it because of the restocking fee which will be 10% of the cost of the laptop.
IF it has the manufacturer's warranty...then It would probably be worth it. But I would say, you'd need to get Microsoft to promise you that it's still under warranty.
I wouldn't trust "Nem Distribution". I would double check with Microsoft themselves.

If it was me... I'd just get the NEW one.

/e With the costs of these things...you NEED the manufacturer's warranty. Withe the restocking fee at Nem Distribution, the place you're getting it from...it's not worth it to return it, if you have to.

I personally stay away from open box when there's a restocking fee. Could return it 3 times and get all defective units.
Maybe its something small like a dead pixel won't be a huge deal till you notice it then you'll never forget its fucking there.

Also, if you get a new one, your gf won't kill you, if it has problems. You will be able to just send it to Microsoft and get it fixed. :)

I just checked...you could order it straight from Microsoft as well... same price.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/config/Surface-Book-2/8MCPZJJCC98C?crosssellid=surfacebook2interstitial&selectedColor=&preview=&previewModes=

Microsoft gives you the choice of English or French-Canadian keyboard also.

/e I don't know if it applies, but Microsoft also offers better price with student, parents, or teachers.

/ee Microsoft also has free delivery and free returns. They'll even send you a shipping label if you need to return it.

Here is all the Microsoft warranty info... https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4036296/surface-warranty-information
