/e You could also, just drop a 3700x into your current motherboard. It'll even take a 3900x.

/ee The Summit Ridge (1600) CPUs are NOT on the CPU support list for the Steel Legend motherboard. That doesn't mean they won't work... just thought it was interesting.

Fixed... I was looking at the 570m-Pro4. That board won't support the 1600. YOUR board WILL support the 3700x, 3800x, 3900x CPUs

I'm waiting for different brand because I didn't have a good experience with this one
Also read vrm cooling was bad and doesn't support higher ram speeds.

You can still get the 3700X and use it until a new motherboard comes out. It's definitely on the CPU support list for your mobo...

From a 1600 to a 3700x... yeah I would say it's easily worth it. All of the 3000 series are worth it. Faster and more cores.

i dont see why a 1600 would overheat and not a 3700 in his build

A stock 1600 shouldnt overheat while gaming at all even on stock cooler

I took off cooler and all preapplied thermal paste was dry... Idk if this is normal or not. I upgraded to a 3700x with a evga 240mm aio. Temps are staying low and gfx card backplate seems hot but not overheating according to aida64.

My PC randomly restarting after about 10-15 minutes of gaming now :(
