Yeah, my bad. If you are using wifi on the desktop as well we would need to know which wifi card.

Your LAN drivers are here...but to see them you need to choose win 7 64 bit

Assuming you have version 2 of this wireless card....or even version 1... the drivers are here: https://www.tp-link.com/il/support/download/tl-wn881nd/v2/#Driver

The version 2 driver is from 02-2018, the version 1 driver is from 05-2013. You can check in Device Manager to see the date of the driver you currently have installed.
Windows 10 may have updated your driver for that card. That MAY be the problem.

You can download the driver from the manufacturer, which I linked... then uninstall the current driver via Device Manager, and install the one direct from TP Link. See if that fixes the problem. If not, you can just go back to the previous driver via Device Manager.

/e Just make sure you get the correct driver from TP Link for the version of your card. At that link it tells you how to identify the version of your card.

What is saying that? The driver or Device Manager?

Ok, do this... Open Device Manager... find your wireless (WLAN) adapter, right click it and choose properties... then choose the Details tab, and in the dropdown box choose Hardware IDs. Take a screeshot and post it here.

This is my LAN adapter for reference. I don't have a wireless adapter to take a screenshot of.

/e I'm on Windows 7 so yours will look a bit different, but it will have the same information.

Do you still have the driver that came with the wireless card? That would be even easier.

Easiest of all would be just use a cable, instead of wireless. For your desktop at least.

/e I've just been doing a lot of reading about the Qualcomm Atheros AR9287 chip. Apparently it doesn't work very well with Windows 10.

/ee I found a lot of supposedly working driver downloads for it....but they still seem to have issues. Apparently MS hasn't come up with a working one yet. It seems Atheros doesn't write it's own drivers. The WLAN card you have is supposed to be plug n play, and was so... up until windows 10. Most people have just given up and gotten a wireless card with a Realtek chip.

/eee I would just get a new wireless card myself. One without an Atheros chip.
