Lately it seems that a lot of gamers, especially for games that are 1st person shooters, tend to buy 27" 1440P monitors, with 144hz refresh rates and 1-2ms response times... IPS if they can manage it.

/e That one you linked is a TN panel. You'll suffer a little on image quality and viewing angle. Otherwise I think it's a nice monitor. But it's really up to your friend.

Well yeah. IPS or VA panel costs more than a TN panel. You want to see lower prices... just scroll down on the left and put a check mark in TN as well as IPS or VA.
