like i said, get a ssd for him. That makes shit load faster, and will make it feel like he got a brand new computer.

gaming performance, not needed. but its slow starting up and booting up programs. i mean its better than a dell, but not what i think is fast.



yeah ill look into that too! what size? the cheaper the better really. last time i built a pc with an ssd, we were really just putting the os on it.

NO. As others said, an SSD will make things load faster.


Like I said, your CPU and RAM are fine. A new vid card will just make it "game" a bit faster. But, if that's not a concern, then just an SSD will be fine.

Only if your CPU temps start going UP for no other reason.


/e Reasons besides thermal paste that the CPU temp may go up...

If room temp goes up.
If the CPU is doing especially hard work at the time.
If the CPU cooling fan starts to die, or isn't running as fast as it should.
