onboard graphics should be disabled by default when a gpu is plugged in..

and dont think its a problem with apex when he idles at 50c..

One thing you can do to test is just turn off all overclocking and see what happens.

If it still pukes, crash dumps will be handy. You might need to turn up the debugging levels to get the best info (Run Sysdm.cpl, then go to Advanced System Information, and then Settings under Startup and Recovery, and change the Write Debugging Information to Complete Memory Dump, reboot, then try to create the BSOD again).

not if he accidentally undefaulted it :D

some newer programs, such a microsoft visual studios run on CPU as default unless you change it.

Downloaded it 2 weeks ago. was laggy as hell. Realized I had to manually check run on graphics card

looks like a heat problem.. and if new paste dident fix it my guess its the cpu cooler..

water cooled custom loop or aio? aio can go bad, seen it a bunch of times..

i would try a differnt cooler

I ran apex in 1080p and it didn’t crash at all for the 2 hours that I played. I averaged around 55-60c during gameplay, but I’m honestly blaming the cooler at this point. It is an aio cooler and it’s about 2-3 years old now so it’s probably bad. I also don’t really hear it running when I’m playing. Pc seems pretty quiet

55-60C is well within safe range for 4th gen, up to 75C is considered fine for daily use. i've had 3 corsair AIO's fail on me in last 2 years so that could definitely be an issue too, idk just how high your temps get and what ur voltage is at

why are you overclocking with bus speed? just set multiplier to 46 and reset that bus speed to 100

whats your voltage at? CPU can degrade over time and not be as stable at same voltage/speed as it was before. try lowering that OC or raising your voltage a bit (voltage after making sure temps are ok ofc)

also running at 1080p should be more of a load on ur cpu than running at 1440p

Just the game was running at 1080 in windowed mode, not the global resolution. I had everything oc’d because I use to do realllllyyy heavy editing with both photoshop and Vegas. I pretty much used Vegas for hours a day for an entire year. I’ll take a pic of my overclock settings when I get home in the morning, but I’m probably gonna still pick up a new water cooler anyway because I’ll need one soon regardless if it’s the issue or not. Tbh I might just drop the OC if that can also help. I mainly game now instead of editing and such. As soon as I can I’ll post the SS though
