what you're saying doesn't make sense. which is why we are confused.

ok, just for future reference. a cpu is a processor, which is only 1 piece of a computer.

it's a bit late for me right now and i'm doing some crap yet.
i'll check back in tomorrow and give some suggestions

will need to know where you're from to compare pricing

i've been looking, but these pc's are legit shit for the price offered. i'm having trouble recommending any of the ones i've viewed so far.

these machines are terrible, but built with decent processors to fool anyone looking.
the HDD's are pretty much all 5400rpm. being a gaming machine that would be using the HDD for more than storage.... i'd highly recommend a 7200rpm model.

the graphics cards in these pre-builts are just so bad. bestbuy must think gaming stops at agario. the best gpu i've seen within price range so far is an intel 2gb model.

i'm going to keep looking and try searching differently. with what i've seen so far though... i'd almost recommend buying crap from bestbuy just to sell off and get cash back for a purchase from somewhere else.
anyway, i'll keep looking around. perhaps i can build one better with components from bestbuy. i'll check that option as well.

they do have some options if you want to try to build this yourself. or have someone else build it for you. these options are still very limited though.

so far i have a couple bases covered if anyone wants to chime opinions in. i'm not very familiar with AMD, but it's cheaper.
there are some areas we may be able to upgrade, but i'm staying somewhat lower trying not to break budget.
there are also some things listed that you can get a bit cheaper with the price-match guarantee. newegg is on that list of vendors.

CPU
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/amd-ryzen-5-2600x-six-core-3-6-ghz-desktop-processor-with-wraith-spire-cooler/6234512.p?skuId=6234512

GPU

MoBo

Storage (2 ways to go about this)
1. combo ssd/hdd (faster)
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-970-evo-500gb-internal-pci-express-3-0-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-for-laptops-with-v-nand-technology/6252132.p?skuId=6252132
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-blue-1tb-internal-sata-hard-drive-for-desktops-oem-bare-drive/6331502.p?skuId=6331502
2. hdd alone (cheaper)
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-black-2tb-internal-serial-ata-hard-drive-oem-bare-drive/3055346.p?skuId=3055346

i need food, will take a bit to post anything more

edit:
do you have availability to any funds outside of this bestbuy card?
i ask because some items like the power supply, have a large difference in price from elsewhere. a lot of power supplys are always "on sale" through other vendors, so i don't think bestbuy would price-match those items.

also, do you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers... any of that crap?

Awesome information thank you
I’m gonna keep looking I’m on my phone and having a hard time looking right now
Yeah was planning on getting a good monitor keyboard and speakers. I do have ones a can use for now.
I might have $1300 budget at most. But I was planning on putting 400 down

Sucks I only have a bestbuy card
If I was to compare to others what maker or company or site would your recommend to look at?

the power supply i'm trying to stay a bit higher so you could upgrade things in the future and not worry about draw. a lot of these are just too large a difference to warrant a purchase.
for example:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-850w-atx12v-eps12v-modular-power-supply-black/5708601.p?skuId=5708601
this same power supply is $50 cheaper on newegg currently. there is also an option to get 10% off, so... $60 cheaper on newegg right now.

adding to the list:
RAM
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2pk-x-8gb-3-2-ghz-ddr4-dram-desktop-memory-kit-black/4895506.p?skuId=4895506

pcpartpicker is a good place to start looking. it shows you a graph of what an item has sold at recently by multiple vendors. it also "tries" to show you the lowest price, it is often wrong though there.

newegg is a good vendor to compare others with. the specifications are often more involved than even pcpartpicker. it's well organized and easy to use, with great keyword functions.
there are often some decent reviews if you dig through the lot as well.

i'm not saying newegg is the only place to shop, but it's often where i purchase from.
outside of newegg i've made purchases from amazon and *** from reputable sellers such as platinummicro

edit:
i'm also only seeing 1 pc case under $100 and it doesn't even have usb 3.1 ports. this is another area i don't think i can suggest anything from what is listed.
