WOW! Google's DNS is STOOPID fast. I changed ports and router and that helped things but then dropped in both the DNSes and BAM. Hella fast.

Nope. Just tested it. Google's DNS is still faster than this one. Google's DNS loads pages in an instant and videos in a matter of seconds.

I'll turn on my computer and it'll randomly not connect to the internet. The error it gives me is a non existing network driver. Then when I try to restart it, the computer will take forever shutting down or restarting. I end up having to press the reset button on the case.
I fear my motherboard is crapping out slowly. Hopefully it's just a fluke.

Sounds like the memory/buffer is full on modem/router. Just unplug and reset modem. Will work fine after.

I've done that a few times. Even had Spectrum reset it from their end.

It does it randomly. It hasn't done it the last 5 or 6 boots now.

You make sure there isn't someone else on your network downloading 10tb of pron?

you sir are being throttled. get your own modem/router and do away with the stupid drops and garbage that comes with the box they provide.
I recommend looking into dd-wrt
the dns swap can help but they will eventually default its setting on the modem end you will have to keep doing it.
