I have an Aero 14, I paid a lot more than 1k, but it was well worth it, its a great laptop...not a super high end gaming rig but good enough to get the job done, thin, light, good battery, good peripheral specs, nice screen, etc

I have always felt that if you are going to go 17" and actually set it in your lap or lug it around you might as well just go for a semi-portable MITX tower and a monitor with a handle...

I have been on 13.3-14" for a while now, and I have owned 17" and 15.6" laptops, several in fact, you get used to the smaller screen, then when I get home I have a dock and a larger monitor and do side-by-side, it really doesn't feel small
