Ur spewing non sense, 8400 is like 10 bux more than 8350k, Ur not getting a decent z mobo for that difference. On top of spending more on a cooler to Oc
8400 has 2 more cores at lower clock. On turbo it's like 3.8.
8400 performs better on mmos compared to the 8350k.8350k will perform better in games like starcraft but the difference is negligent
U might as well say that 8700 will perform worse than a 8350k cuz clock timing is lower than 8350k
like 1ghz at least difference on 8350k is not small. most game engines are bottlenecked by a single thread because serial code is more prevalent then parallel for the majority of games. Most things being calculated need the results of the last calculation before they can even start. That's why single thread always bottlenecks the rest. Maybe you see one core at 100% and 5 others at 60% but reality is those other cores are quickly going between 0 and 100% waiting on the main thread. Trust me I went to the johnmiller school of game development I know these things.
Remember... as i need to repeat myself a lot around here it seems.. the benchmarks u see the 8400 winning, this is with 1080 or 1080 ti or some unrealistic shit for such a cpu. 8350k or 8400 will perform the same in games that can use at LEAST 4 full cores, 6 doesn't matter. It's the rest of the games that can't saturate that many cores and may not even be gpu bottlenecked on a 1060 6gb like the ones I mentioned where the 8350k oc will shine.
