Do you know if this laptop runs into overheating issues at all?

We stress the notebook to identify for any throttling or stability issues. When subjected to Prime95 to stress the CPU, the processor can be observed running at 2.9 to 3.0 GHz for the first few seconds before hitting 74 C and stabilizing at 1.9 GHz to keep core temperatures in check. Thus, the system is unable to sustain high Turbo Boost clock rates for very long. Nonetheless, 1.9 GHz is 300 MHz faster than the base clock rate of the i5-8250U and so at least some Turbo Boost is preserved. Running both Prime95 and FurMark simultaneously can cause core temperatures to reach as high as 80 C. Impressively, however, the CPU will not dip below its base 1.6 GHz clock rate which is uncommon for an Ultrabook.

HUAWEI’S NEW MATEBOOK X PRO IS THE BEST LAPTOP RIGHT NOW
You won’t find another laptop with more bang for your buck

Both some great sources.
I had my eyes on the laptop before these reviews. It doesn't have PWM either with was make or break it for me, Almost 50% of devices uses PWM, which are unhealthy (I do get headaches and eyes stings after an hour of usage)

PWM is used to regulate the brightness of LCD and LED displays. How does that concern us? The pulsations can be bad for your health and more specifically for the users’ eyesight. They can lead to migraines, headaches or other forms of discomfort after long-term usage. In most cases those pulsations have a frequency somewhere around 200Hz. They cause multiple contractions and expansions of the pupils, which bears down negatively on your health.

This is overlooked in Laptops. But for monitors it's branded as flicker free technology when there is not used PWM to control monitors brightness.

Never get a Lenovo please.

Unless you plan to place a fresh install of non stock windows on it.

Those things are so bad when it comes to stock software issues. Phantom touching if it’s a touchscreen or just flickering in general

Yeah I know quite a few brands getting better on this point.
But honestly I always have an USB thump drive ready with most versions of windows ready.

Laptops will have rare issues, just got to the point after working with Lenovo’s that it was so much more common. They used to be really great, sold their company and it changed
